ASEXUAL AWARENESS WEEK 2018

If you didn’t know, every October is when Asexual Awareness Week occurs, and this year 2018, is no exception, (21st-27th of October 2018, is Asexual Awareness Week).

Asexual Awareness Week gives each and every asexual the opportunity to promote Asexual Awareness and to ‘come out’ to others if you haven’t already. If you have any family or friends that want to help you to raise awareness too, this is the perfect time to get them to do just that.

We need more visibility, we need more education for others, and we need to get our voices heard – there is absolutely nothing wrong with being asexual and I believe living life as an asexual can be one of the most positive and empowering experiences. However, I know the difficulties that crop up, the objections, those awkward moments, the lack of understanding and sensitivity. It’s also tough finding other aces to meet in person, to form strong relationships with, and to find a life partner/s should we wish to. That is why it is so very important for us to raise awareness as much as possible. Asexual Interview With Mercury Press

I just had to send you a quick message – tonight I the most amazing 2 hour and 20 minute interview with a Journalist from Mercury Press in regard to asexuality – it will be an article like no other!! Watch this space and all will be revealed in due course – so excited!!! Thank you to the powers that be, for blessing me with this wonderful opportunity.

I will do whatever it takes to promote asexuality to get it recognised as a sexual orientation across the globe so that no asexuals have to live in fear of ridicule, ever again. This article will focus on a different angle to others. As soon as it is finished and published, I will let you know.

I am still working hard to get the Asexual Perspectives book finished before Christmas. It is tough because I am currently working 7 days in a row in my day job.
